Spurgeon Gems was created in 2001 by Perry Boardman of Eternal Life Ministries. The site began with less than 10 volumes of sermons and now has a complete 63 volume set as well as other Bible-based resources, which were freely provided by friends of the ministry. As of October 2025 we are about 3/4 of the way through the process of proofreading and standardizing the PDFs of the 63 volumes of Spurgeon’s sermons back to the originals. We thank the Lord for the volunteers who are generously giving their time to this effort.
Perry Boardman graciously asked Chapel Library if we would consider taking over the site. Our prayer is that we would continue Eternal Life Ministries’ vision of exalting God’s Word and glorifying our Savior through this rich resource.
As a supplement to our current ministry resources in print and digital format, Chapel Library is committed to maintaining Spurgeon Gems as a unique resource focused on digital presentation of Spurgeon’s complete works.
Coming into 2026, a rebuilt website and a new mobile app are being planned for construction.
